New Year, New Reports
Well due to Christmas and other things, i am a little behind on the Station reports for June, however I have managed to get a bunch done. The biggest one was a complete recast for DY as our friends at the DOT following my request (although not officially acknowledged) added in the 3 missing months worth of DY data for 2014, little did i realize how brutal a job that was then going to be to re-update that report. However it's now done and published for all to see.
Now technically these reports are for foreign airlines that have BOS as a station and i match to their routes across the US, but I have made 2 exceptions to this rule starting with the current update.
Firstly I have added D8 (Norwegian Air International) as a separate report because they fly into PVD and BDL and figured it would be interesting to see. I had planned to add it to the DY report to have a consolidated view, but frankly way too complex to do so, so it's separate. Second is Level (IB), now I already do an IB report anyway, but given Level are coming to BOS next year, i figured I'd add them now for 2 reasons. 1. Both current routes are from BCN and easily identifiable and 2, we can track them separately to see how they are getting on. The first month data, particularly for LAX-BCN was incredible, with nearly 300 pax a flight and a mid 90's Load Factor, very impressive. I am working my way through the rest of them now and will start Avianca this month and hopefully Air Europa too. In addition i've also gone through and updated the route additions report for 2018, and will keep that updated as I hear stuff, later this week the CBP report for December will be ready along with the runway usage report and i have to find the 12 month analysis from DOT again for BOS, there's always something. July's numbers will be released 1/12, so i will be starting all over again after that.
