New day, New destinations, New Airline, Welcome Primera Air

Well Summer 18 just got real interesting at BOS, with Primera Air starting 3 new routes, 2 of them to new Non-Stop Destinations in BHX and STN in the UK, along with wading in to the fight that is CDG all with 321neo's configured 16J/24Y+/162Y for 200 seats.

Birmingham – Boston eff 22JUN18 4 weekly PF053 BHX1715 – 2015BOS 32B x246 PF054 BOS2145 – 0930+1BHX 32B x246 London Stansted – Boston eff 18MAY18 4 weekly PF043 STN1700 – 2010BOS 32B x246 PF044 BOS2140 – 0930+1STN 32B x246 Paris CDG – Boston eff 21JUN18 3 weekly PF023 CDG1730 – 2005BOS 32B 246 PF024 BOS2135 – 1045+1CDG 32B 246

CDG is just astounding, with DY announcing the same route 2 months ago, however PF's timings do not overlap, instead complement to make 6 weekly low cost service (only Monday is missing), but with the 800lb Gorilla's of AF/DL and AA and plenty of capacity around, who knows what's going to happen. Different clientele of course, but I think AA could well say "to hell with it" and pull it's final International route from BOS, it would make sense, given the general direction they are going.

Now we have options (at least seasonally) from BOS to LHR (Y/R), LGW (Y/R) MAN/BHX/STN, quite amazing really, along with what's happening at PVD with D8. I am staggered that PF are trying BOS and not PVD, but the catchment for BOS is much bigger, they gotta hope folks pay $40 for the meals because with BOS fees, that's going to be super difficult to make a lot of money on. Although WW manage it.. We shall see.
